This is a picture I took of Nanook this weekend. She is sitting on my CPU. What you cannot see - and what I did not discover until tonight - is that she has a little bit of Cranberry Splash paint on the end of a few whiskers because she decided to get into the paint while I was putting a fourth?!?! and final coat of paint on the front door. I told her she was not allowed to touch the wet door, but does she listen to me? No. I suppose I should be happy she just has paint on the tips of a few whiskers. When the door was dry, she nuzzled it.

Nanook was just doing her job--an up close & personal inspection of her mama's work, and by the smile on her face, you must have passed! :q5:

Here is Nanook inspecting the plumber's work on Tuesday evening. Since white kitties don't jump, she had a little help getting on the counter. She has inspected his work from above, below, and in the sink - including trying to stick her paw down the garbage disposal - and declares it good. She also thinks it is a fun place to play with bugs, but wonders why mommy felt the need to kill her plaything with the spray nozzle on Wednesday. She was only resting her from playing. There was no need to go to such extremes and kill the centipede. Mom still thinks the garbage disposal should be on the left, but lost that argument with her Cuban plumber.

It looks like you have a fully qualified inspector there Beth. She's a cutie. Now let me introduce you to Abe. He rules the roost here and actually thinks the dogs belong to him. And when he comes in from outside after an hour of harrasing the neighbourhood birds, he always comes in howling for Scarlet, my red border collie. And she comes! Then he has a love session with her and rubs her to death. She sits there stone still with that look in her eye as if to say, man is he done yet! lol

And since Abe is making his debut I must also include Bubba. Poor fella he's too fat to fly or get into any trouble. He's my old dude and my cuddler. Abe is in cuddle mode only when it's his idea.

I wish I had been able to get to my camera as this was a priceless moment. I was out weeding my lisianthus, which were choked with grass. When I finished, I looked in the front door to see what Nanook was doing. As usual, she was snoozing. But this time, she had her head pillowed on the chuck of my cordless drill [the bit is on the kitchen counter at the moment] and her front paws were stretched out underneath the hand grip. She was so adorable!!! Of course, the moment I came in to try to get my camera, she jumped up to say hello and get a kiss.
